This is my own fanfic (non-fic, perhaps?), "Final Fantasy III: The Novel." A lot of the dialogue is taken straight from the game, and I have tried to be faithful to the game in describing its progression. This does cause some problems with continuity and logical progression of the story, but I'm trying to work around that. Some things have been added, of course, dialogue and scenes that I feel clarify some things.
PROGRESS REPORT: Sept. 7, 2001: Okay, I have to admit it: My writing is displeasing me greatly. I have half a mind to trash everything I've done so far and rewrite them from a new perspective. It will still follow the game, but what I'm having a hard time with is my insistence on keeping the game's dialogue. As I'm finding out, that does *not* work very well in terms of continuity and just plain common sense. So my writing is completely on hold until I figure out just what direction I want to take this fanfic. I apologize for the months upon months of delay and broken promises; I've been going through quite a bit in life lately and it's affected my writing, and this semi-crisis will take time to resolve.
Basically, what I'm looking to do is take a deeper approach to the storyline that I always intended. I've been doing this so far in my lemon version, which is why I'm liking that one a lot better (no, it wasn't because of the scenes ^_~ ). I'm going to have to rethink the dialogue and what-not.
In other news, I'm slimming down in terms of what fanfics I am hosting on my site. My FFML fanfic page is pretty much defunct and will soon be taken down; the fanfics there will soon be transferred to the official Final Fantasy Mailing List website, the URL of which escapes me for now...I think it's ffml.org. Read the fanfics for a small glimpse into the insane world that is the FFML. *evil grin*
Prior updates can now be found at my LiveJournal. That LJ has updates for ALL my sites, but especially for my Final Fantasy CD page, so you might have to dig around a bit. Don't worry, I'll properly headline the entries so they'll be easier to find.
